Workshops
If you'd like to learn how to work on you own bike we're happy to help. Learning to work on bikes is like anything else--it takes practice and the right tools. It isn't magic. If you have the desire to learn you can do it. Being able to help yourself or fellow riders out of a jam is a good thing. A dose of self-sufficiency is a good thing. Well, at least people used to think so. We're sure it still is. We offer individual, hands-on workshops for those interested in basic and advanced bicycle service. We are of the opinion that no adult should be allowed on a bike without knowing how to change a flat, so there's no charge for the flat-change lesson. If you want to learn a bit more our basic workshop will teach you how to adjust your gears, brakes, headset, hubs and bottom bracket. Our advanced workshop adds lessons on overhauling bearings (bottom bracket, headset, hubs, etc.) and truing wheels. We have a separate workshop for wheelbuilding. We offer special pricing on tools and workstands for those who take our workshops. |
